Reporting a Problem With a Calculator
This is the message I most want to receive. If a tool gives you a figure that looks wrong, it helps enormously if you include:
- Which calculator, by name or link
- The exact numbers you entered, including the units and any dropdown settings
- What it returned, and what you expected instead
With those three things I can usually reproduce the problem in a few minutes. Without them it can take a long time, or prove impossible.
Suggesting a Calculator
If there is a tool you keep needing and cannot find a decent version of, tell me. The most useful suggestions describe the job rather than the tool, because the job usually makes clear what the calculator actually has to do.
What I Cannot Help With
I am happy to explain how any calculation on this site works. What I cannot do is give you personal advice.
That means I cannot tell you which loan to take, how much concrete your particular foundation needs, whether your tax withholding is right, or anything else that depends on circumstances only a qualified professional can properly assess. Questions of that kind need an accountant, a financial adviser, an engineer, or a contractor who can see the whole picture.

Response Time
I aim to reply within two or three working days. Reports of a calculator returning the wrong answer get looked at first, because those affect everyone using the tool rather than just the person who wrote in.
